(1) Time charters (TC) of 1 year duration or longer, normally allow ± 1.5 months' window for redelivery at charterers' option. Charterers have the option to adjust the charter duration by the number of off-hire days during the charter period. Dates represent the earliest date of redelivery of the vessel to Star Bulk.
(2) Represents the gross daily rate.
(3) Star Bulk agreed with the present charterers for a further two-year time charter employment of the Star Delta, in direct continuation of the present time charter due to expire in March 2010 , at a gross daily rate of $14,000.
(4) Time charter agreement includes a 50%-50% index-based profit sharing arrangement under which Star Bulk will be paid by the charterers, in addition to the above charterhire, 50% of the difference by which the Baltic Capesize Index (BCI) rate exceeds $49,000 effective as of March 1, 2012.
(5) COA: Contract of Affreightment. Star Bulk, at its option, may use its own vessel(s) or charter-in vessel(s) to serve the COA with VALE.
(6) The Company has entered into an agreement to sell the Star Beta to a third party and expects to deliver the vessel to the buyers in the second quarter of 2010 upon its redelivery from the current time charter.
