  • Reviews quotations and evaluates the purchase orders for all technical spares, supplies, repairs, lubricants and engine stores to assure the vessels’ needs are covered within the budget and the expected quality and quantity.
  • Cooperates closely with the claims department for the process of damage claims and supports the Claims department providing all the relevant technical information.
  • Participates in the Emergency Response Team and informs immediately the Technical Manager and Director in case of emergency.

  • Analyzes, investigates and assess the risks of hazardous occurrences on the vessel or any deficiencies, issued by PSC and third party inspections, and provides vessels with necessary feedback and instructions to avoid reoccurrence.
  • Pursues the developments related to international rules and regulations that are associated with the SMS and evaluates their potential impact.
  • Coordinates and liaises with other departments within the company to collectively provide an efficient ship management service.
  • Handles pre-port state control inspections, standard deck and safety items checks, master and officers’ evaluation and random bunker checks.

Position: PMS Engineer

Responsibilities:
  • Checks overdue works for all vessels so as to avoid system failures due to the lack of maintenance. Also, creates vessels structure in the ERP (i.e., workflow tree, corresponding manufacturers, models, serial number, works & forms) in order to apply Company’s official PMS.
  • Prepares Vessels’ PMS for external or internal audits by checking the reported works and the respective forms in order to avoid any deficiencies and maintain vessels’ high performance.
  • Creates and maintains various reports on a regular or ad hoc basis regarding critical components for statistical and reporting purposes such as OPEX, budget analysis etc. and for the monitoring of PMS performance and the archiving of technical information.
  • Provides training and technical advice to the shipboard personnel.
  • Supports the technical department by utilizing data collection services, gathering data for all fleet and assisting in the decision making and budget control processes.
  • Provides guidance in terms of precise spare parts implementation in Navision (PMS Tool) and contributes to the smooth operation of the supply cycle.

  • Monitors the repair and maintenance of vessels, offering similar support to the rest of the fleet vessels. 
  • Attends dry dockings to ensure all tasks assigned by the Maintenance Manager and/or Technical SupEng are carried out to specification, ensuring the vessel is delivered in seaworthy condition and ready in all respects.

Position: Spare Parts Operator

Responsibilities:
  • Organizes and coordinates the purchasing of spare parts required by the Technical Department, in an efficient and effective manner and based on the technical specifications. More specifically, raises requisitions in cooperation with the technical department and after getting their advice.
  • Obtains quotations from the “approved” suppliers, prepares comparison tables and submits to the Spare Parts Manager and the Procurement Director.
  • Searches market for new suppliers, if required, and maintains the “Approved Vendors” list.
  • Negotiates prices and prepares the relevant evaluation forms.
  • Places orders in accordance to the approvals obtained and ensures that each purchase order is recorded to the electronic purchasing system and the supply cycle operates effectively.
  • Coordinates with the Forwarding department for the delivery of spare parts on board the vessel and instructs the suppliers, the Master and the Agents regarding the delivery point and method of delivery.
  • Verifies completion of delivery, collects all the supporting documentation, checks invoices and submits them to the Spare Parts Manager for approval.
  • Works closely with the Invoice Checking department on the suppliers’ invoices and attaches the vessels’ confirmation of receipt for relevant spare parts, in order to proceed with the payment process.
  • Checks if the spare parts’ cost has been amended by the agents at the ports, so as to ensure that the spare parts delivery is correct.
  • Follows up until the vessel confirms that the spares have been delivered onboard.
  • Cooperates with the Technical department for the smooth and prompt delivery of requested spare parts to the vessels.
  • Creates and maintains systems, subsystems, items and spare parts database in Navision application.
Qualifications / Experience:
  • Bachelor degree in any discipline, preferably in shipping.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar position.
  • Fluency in English.
  • MS Office literacy.
  • Knowledge of Navision will be an asset.

Responsibilities:
  • Assists and provides support to the technical superintendents in organizing, coordinating, monitoring and following-up various outstanding items, defect reports, repairs and in organizing attendances for onboard services (external providers, service stations etc.).
  • Assists in organizing new projects and dry-dockings under the guidance of the technical superintendents.
  • Monitors and reviews vessel consumptions and various analysis reports and distributes respective files accordingly.
  • Records and monitors the vessels’ technical superintendent attendance intervals, the produced reports and the identified deficiencies and ensures proper filing and record keeping.
  • Monitors the status of certificates and coordinates their renewals. Ensures the certificates’ due dates monitoring system is always kept updated, communicates with the vessel’s class society and schedules, organizes and coordinates class attendances.
  • Provides technical support and any additional technical documentation and assistance to shipboard personnel for the proper operation and maintenance of the vessels’ machinery and equipment. Ensures proper record keeping practices are followed-up on board. Ensures that all vessel’s reports, forms, records etc. are received timely, reviewed as required and filed accordingly.
  • Ensures company’s policies and procedures are followed within the department. Prepares various reports, collects vessel performance data as required for the technical department’s reporting of KPIs.
  • Inputs the various technical information, service reports in the company’s system as well as information related to purchasing, invoicing, certification and various technical matters.
  • Occasionally attends a vessel as deemed necessary.
  • Provides any other related assistance as required by the Fleet/Technical Manager or the Technical Director.
Qualifications / Experience:
  • University degree in Engineering / Naval Architecture and minimum 2 years of experience in the Technical department of a shipping company.

  • Follows up on the maintenance status, condition and operation of assigned vessels and co-operates with the crew, in order to ensure that assigned vessels are operating in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Attends vessels and periodically sails on-board to ensure the technical condition of the equipment.
  • Monitors and verifies vessel’s performance, supervises repairs, reports findings, follows-up closure of defects etc.
  • Provides training and technical advice to shipboard personnel, as necessary.
  • Implements effectively preventive maintenance of ship’s hull, main machinery, deck machinery, etc.
  • Monitors Class and Flag State requirements and plans required surveys accordingly.
  • Deals with any damage repairs or modifications, preserving the vessels commercial competence.
  • Monitors all technical problems, major defects and follows-up, until corrective action is verified.
  • Controls and monitors the lub-oil and bunker quality and consumption.

  • Attends delivery of new acquisitions.

  • 1. Degree in Marine Engineering / Naval Architecture and minimum 6 years of office experience or Chief Engineer’s license, minimum 3 years of sea service as Chief Engineer and 1 year of office experience as Superintendent Engineer.

Position: Vetting Officer

  • Monitors pre-vetting preparations and prepares the vessel for vetting inspections, as per the Company’s standards, SMS requirements and all international and flag state legislation (also based on Dry-BMS standards).
  • Carries out investigation analysis, following the completion of on board inspections.
  • Assists the vessels during vetting inspections.
Qualifications / Experience:
  • Familiarity with pre-vetting / vetting inspections' requirements,
  • Captain Class A diploma or Chief Engineer’s license or BSc in Naval Architecture / Mechanical Engineering.
