Responsibilities:
  1. Communicates with Masters regarding any reports concerning PSC items, deck maintenance (PMS) and cargo hold preparedness.
  2. Visits the vessels for marine / safety internal audits, evaluates their condition, assesses potential risks and prepares them for third party inspections as per the Company’s standards, SMS requirements and all international and flag state legislation.
  3. Approves deck stores and maintenance tools as well as the activation/supply of charts and publications.
  4. Analyzes, investigates and assess the risks of hazardous occurrences on the vessel or any deficiencies, issued by PSC and third party inspections, and provides vessels with necessary feedback and instructions to avoid reoccurrence.
  5. Pursues the developments related to international rules and regulations that are associated with the SMS and evaluates their potential impact.

Responsibilities:
  1. Checks overdue works for all vessels so as to avoid system failures due to the lack of maintenance. Also, creates vessels structure in the ERP (i.e., workflow tree, corresponding manufacturers, models, serial number, works & forms) in order to apply Company’s official PMS.
  2. Prepares Vessels’ PMS for external or internal audits by checking the reported works and the respective forms in order to avoid any deficiencies and maintain vessels’ high performance.
  3. Creates and maintains various reports on a regular or ad hoc basis regarding critical components for statistical and reporting purposes such as OPEX, budget analysis etc. and for the monitoring of PMS performance and the archiving of technical information.
  4. Provides training and technical advice to the shipboard personnel.
  5. Supports the technical department by utilizing data collection services, gathering data for all fleet and assisting in the decision making and budget control processes.
  6. Provides guidance in terms of precise spare parts implementation in Navision (PMS Tool) and contributes to the smooth operation of the supply cycle.

  1. Oversees the PMS performance and the vessels’ PMS preparation for external or internal audits. Reviews the PMS in cooperation with the Technical Team and proposes relevant amendments. Coordinates the preparation of the yearly OPEX budget. 
  2. Oversees the Roving Engineers’ visits in coordination and supervision of the Technical Team.
  3. Oversees the annual planning of Dry-Docking (DD), and monitors the database of offers used for shipyard negotiations. Reviews the standard repair specifications and proposes relevant amendments. Performs cost and data analysis as part of internal reporting and assessment. Organizes and participates in the yearly DD Budget preparation.
  4. Organizes and supervises fleet campaigns and maintains project plans in cooperation with the Technical team i.e. dry-docking schedule, and fleet campaigns to assure their effective, timely and smooth completion within the deadlines.
  5. Supervises the maintenance, servicing and proper operating condition onboard of the Navigation and Communication Electronic as well as Electrical Equipment of the Fleet’s vessels, ensuring they are carried out in an efficient way in coordination with the Technical Team. Coordinates the preparation of the yearly budget.
  6. Oversees allocated projects’ scope and progress for statistical and reporting purposes, controls the allocated budgets, and delivers regular or ad hoc basis progress reports and presentations.
  7. Cooperates closely with and supervises Dry-Docking, PMS, Roving, Electrical and Radio/ Nav Electronic Engineers, ensuring all communication regarding the projects is shared effectively with all parties involved.
